I have a WiFi router from UPC and the signal over the apartment 73m2 (3+1) 50cm wall into the study fluctuated to about 50 - 60% in conjunction with a PCI card from TPlink and even with several hours of searching for the best position of antennas and router, I got to fluctuating 30-60Mbit (120Mbit UPC) with a response time of about 30-35ms. However, the connection dropped out occasionally when the antenna was moved while cleaning, it messed with my line performance quite a bit. The connection oscillated in responses quite often.
Today with this device I am at admittedly only 65Mbit, however quite stable and at a response time of 10-15ms. As many point out, it takes away from the performance of any other device in the same socket and distance. By testing, I found that moving one socket closer to the cabinet (about 3.5m) boosted the signal by 10Mbit, the same when I did the same in the study, another 10Mbit and assuming that I turned off the desktop PC, which is connected in a different socket, but within the room on the same circuit, I measured on the battery-connected NTB another 20Mbit more. Under ideal conditions, when the PC would be plugged outside this circuit and I would bring a 2m longer cable to the Powerline, which I would bring out behind the cabinet, I would get to the highest measured stable 95Mbit. For the sake of comfort, for which I bought it, I sit on my about 65-75 (depended on other connected appliances in the next socket) stable Mbit with 12ms and the outlet next to the router + behind the desk from the PC.
Relatively noticeable differences in speed over greater distances (but may be influenced by many other factors)
When connecting an appliance with a higher consumption in the same room, it will quite noticeably affect the speed
