I'm still wondering if the manufacturer is joking or if I just bought a defective piece. The socket can only be controlled if the phone is on the same WiFi as the socket, then it works properly. But as soon as I walk away with the phone, it's over. The app makes it look like I'm turning the socket off and on, but nothing actually happens. I don't think that's how it's supposed to work. I also have Vocolinc sockets and they actually work by being controlled over the internet.
