Purchased to connect the VCR to a PC. Just plug it into the USB port, insert a regular HDMI cable into the other end, connect it to a converter (Winner Scart - HDMI converter) and connect the SCART cable from it to the Video. Using the VLC player, click Media - Open Recording Device - select USB 3.0 and record using the VLC player (Playback - Record). The picture quality is great.

For the money I wasn't expecting anything special but it exceeded my expectations, no software to install, simply plug & play. I was planning to play on PS5 through my computer (in OBS using the preview) and switch the game screen to anything else (window/fullscreen) whenever I want, while having full sound from my computer and e.g. to call my friends. Really nifty stuff, you simply create a scene in OBS, set up the source of that device using "Video Capture Device" and that's it. You can make the preview window separate and scale it, or just have it right in the middle of the program. Then open the "Sound" category via the "Control Panel", open the "Recording" tab, select "Digital Audio Interface", right click "Properties", "Listen" tab and fill in the checkbox with a check mark. The sound is of sufficient quality, the volume of the device can be changed via the system volume mixer. Games are playable perfectly fine, I don't experience any jarring response in the controls (I'm using a 1080p monitor and the image should run at 60Hz, it's fine for a console). Make sure you have the device connected in USB 3.0 (I personally have it in 3.2). Maybe it'll help someone: )

Latency is a massacre, I waited 250ms for example, but 1.5 seconds is a total massacre! I bought it for a whole retrostation, but I want to play PS3 games on my laptop, I don't recommend it at all, the menu is enough, you don't even have to start the game, I actually manage to put the controller down before I go to the next item in the menu, it's a very bad product, I regret that I bought it. :( I'm always satisfied with Alza, but I wish I could find shitty things, their solution is to send you €4, that's great, I have about 4 of those vouchers for 5 years, each product worth €20-150. great to buy something more expensive and their solution is sending a voucher, Alza should improve in this way of dealing with the customer and according to the law I should be able to return the product and get the money, not a stupid €4. PS.: I have never used the voucher.
