To turn it on, simply hold the button for about three seconds. Otherwise, the control will measure you normally once. At the same time, the device has an AFIB function that monitors the risk of atrial fibrillation, which I have read may be related to the risk of stroke. The Intelli cuff is quite stiff, but this avoids inaccurate measurements - if you get it wrong, the icon will alert you. The Omron Connect app monitors all the readings, shows you in colour when there's a problem, averages them, and can create an excel email or PDF for the doctor to show the exact history. You can write down your meds, which I don't do: ) But the app also links information from other devices if you have them - as I said, I use an Omron scale. It's not very pleasant to measure your blood pressure three times in a row, but hypertension is no fun, and comforting yourself with a badly measured blood pressure doesn't help anything. So I'm doing the True Read function honestly so the doctor can get really accurate readings.
