The modem is a disappointment to me. I expected it to have decent internal antennas for its size, but it doesn' t. Basically, it has the same qualities as the TP-Link M7000. But it is a mobile device with a battery that fits in your pocket. This needs to be on the mains and it is a normally grown router. The possibility of connecting external antennas is straightforward, but since they are not included, it is only a theoretical advantage. A big disappointment is the power supply, which is provided by a proprietary circular connector and not by USB. In this regard, routers could also move forward, since 9V will be provided by any USB charger with QC/PD. It is also unpleasant that the SIM card cannot be activated by the modem. You have to do it on some phone. I evaluate the control application for the phone ambivalently. It is in Czech and can basically do almost everything that applications for TP-LINKs, from which Mercusys is derived. However, I can no longer positively evaluate the setting options. These are very simple and the router itself has a very primitive firmware even with direct access via web administration. The good thing is that the router looks nice. So the narrow variant, it is hard to believe that Mercusys sells two routers that look completely different under the same name.
