Honestly, the holder is beautiful, it holds the monitor, normally I would have given 5 stars and been happy, because I chose it as a replacement for the Alza Ergo Heavy Duty, which although it holds my monitor (i.e. fulfills the parameters of what it has) 13kg 38' 24:10, but which after every about 2 months began to creak when changing the position of the monitor. There was no way to get to the piston because it's carburetted, spraying it with some lube meant a lot of overspray to get it where it needed to go and then breathing in the lube (and I have a Wurth with no smell, but you can still tell after a day or two, by feel), so that's how I wrote off one Alza Ergo. I have had other Alza Ergo Heavy Duty replaced like this about 3 times during the 2 year warranty period. but you get tired of replacing it all the time, even if they replace it with the Instant Replacement Guarantee right away. In my search I found references to Ergotron and Secretlabs mounts which are supposedly more robust.
I chose Ergotron because it went to order on alza, Secretlabs alza does not have. Well, when I unpacked it, the smell of the lubricant hit me in the nose, see photo, I don't understand why the pivot is designed like a tool in the workshop, in a room holder, where you have it a meter from your head, for 8000, if they enclosed it in metal on some screws, if you need to get to it eventually, or do it any other way (maybe even prefer to change), like other manufacturers, I would be satisfied. but this is a disaster, I knew when I was putting it together that I wouldn't pass, that I couldn't stand it, and I did, and the next day the smell bothered me so much that I dismantled it and returned it. I ordered the holder from SecretLabs and I haven't changed it anymore, the price is also about 8000, I ordered from Poland from the official site. Maybe the SecretLabs has a slight flaw in that it has a limited height where it can be lifted (it would need another 5-10 cm maybe), but in terms of smell (I'm really surprised I'm even writing this), ideal. I'll recommend alze to add to the repertoire.
