I measured the current drawn (at 4.2V - fully charged battery) and calculated the theoretical battery life 100% mode - 2000 lm - 4,7A consumption around 50 min 40% mode - 800 lm - 1.26A consumption - 3 h 15% mode - 300 lm - 320mA consumption - 12.5 h 3% mode - 60 lm - 100mA draw - 40 h The flashing mode is switched on by pressing the switch twice. The charge status LED has two colours - red and blue. The blue light is on from 100% full charge until about 10% (3.45V) - then it switches to red. At 0% (3.1V) (the protection circuit in the battery prevents such a discharge) the red diode starts flashing, below this threshold the battery starts to deteriorate and at 2.5V the headlamp switches off completely. This means that the headlamp does not have a protection circuit for the li-ion battery and a replacement 21700 battery must be purchased with it (the supplied battery has the protection circuit). When in maximum mode, the charge LED will sometimes switch to red, but this does not necessarily mean it is empty, after switching off and on it will be blue for some time. It is caused by voltage drop due to high current. I'm satisfied with the headlamp so far, for normal use I'm mostly satisfied with the 15% mode.
