Programme Registration
Users can enrol in the ESU programme at any time until the final deadline of 12 October 2027. If your registration is already active, coverage continues automatically without further action until this date. You must use a Microsoft account to register, which will be linked to the licence. This account must not be registered as a child account, and the process requires you to be logged in as a device administrator.
System Compatibility and Requirements
For updates to install successfully, the personal computer must be running Windows 10 version 22H2. Specific editions are supported: Home, Professional, Pro Education or Workstations. The device must have the latest released version of the system installed and the user must be logged in with an administrator account. Without meeting these system requirements, registration cannot be completed.
Device and Account Management
The purchased licence can be applied to up to ten different devices that are linked to the same Microsoft account. The programme does not support use in commercial scenarios for devices in full-screen mode. Registration is also not typically offered for computers connected to an Active Directory domain, Microsoft Entra, or registered in a mobile device management system.
