Thermal Camera

A thermal camera is a device that captures heat emitted by objects and converts it into a visible image. Unlike a regular camera, it does not record visible light, but rather what is known as infrared radiation. This radiation is emitted by every body whose temperature is higher than absolute zero, which is minus 273.15 degrees Celsius. The resulting image, called a thermogram, displays temperature differences using a color palette or shades of gray. Typically, warmer areas are shown in lighter colors, such as white, yellow, or red, while cooler areas are depicted in darker colors, such as blue or black. Thanks to this technology, a drone can see even in complete darkness, through smoke, fog, or light vegetation, as these obstacles do not block thermal radiation as much as visible light.
