Security Class II designates a certified level of a safe's resistance against burglary according to the European standard ČSN EN 1143-1. To obtain this certification, the safe must undergo rigorous tests in an accredited testing laboratory, where technicians attempt to defeat it using various tools such as drills, angle grinders, or crowbars. The test result is the value of resistance units “RU”, which expresses how long the safe resisted. For Class II, a resistance of at least 50 RU is required for partial penetration and 80 RU for full penetration. This class represents a high degree of security and is intended for the storage of cash, valuables, and important documents of higher value. Insurance companies usually set recommended storage limits for it in the hundreds of thousands to millions of Czech crowns, but the exact amount always depends on the specific insurance policy.
