I have it in both NAS and PC. It' s very fast and a bit noisier (but I rather like listening to it play). I had it in a NAS (2x 4TB) and my wife, while watering a nearby flower, dripped some water directly into the NAS, which has a ventilation grill on top (and bottom) and the disks are not protected. Immediately one HD left, so I ordered a new one. Even drying with a hair dryer didn' t help, the disc was kaput). That' s when I realized how vulnerable the drive is, and with it your data. After replacing it with this disk, it immediately caught on in the NAS, the recorded applications also worked (e. g. antivirus, DLNA server, FTP, etc. there are about 12 of them). I also have it in my PC where it acts as a fast disk for a lot of data. it rattles audibly there, probably because it resonates in that tin box (I can' t hear it in the NAS).
