. if the manual says that the user should "protect" the thermometer sensor from dirt, then OK, it is understandable (a dirty probe will cause a wrong measurement).. But in that case, why doesn't the manufacturer supply a simple cap on the probe head, like e.g. on sprays (hairspray, shaving foam, etc. ). Measured temperatures on different parts of the body at the same moment are not similar at all. Measure 36.5 on the whole, 37.2 under one arm, 38.5 under the other, 40.8 on the forehead, 37.2 in one ear and 39.3 in the other. Now it's up to you which temperature you choose! You can choose!
