I use the headphones every day and I don't mind that they can't be folded at all. Headphones belong on the head, not in a case. They have an amazing sound and they don't press on the head at all even with long listening. The battery life is great, I charge the headphones in the evening and in 20 minutes they are fully charged after a full day of listening. I often use Noice canceling at work where it can beautifully soundproof my surroundings and I can concentrate on my work. Ambient mode is fine and sometimes I don't even know if I'm wearing headphones but despite that it could have a bit higher volume because it has a bit lower volume compared to reality. The app is full of useful settings. A small minus I give that when the headphones are connected to 2 devices so sometimes plays the sound from the device that does not emit any sound and on the other one I need to play a video, so I have to manually switch it in the application (it may be a problem of my laptop) I use the headphones in the office, driving in the car (with ambient mode let me hear), in the gym (with noice cancelling), during cardio and I can't complain about them.

May 2022 model, excellent ANC, compared to Apple AirPods Max, they also dampen the noise generated by their own body, which is a bit of magic, but it works. If I want the music loud, I max out at 60% of the volume range. It can play really deep, no need to adjust the depths by default, they are just right. On their own, they have a poorer response above 1 kHz and you need to chase higher frequencies on the integrated EQ, which only works on BT. I commend the guide for finding your own EQ without needing to know frequency spectra. After adjusting the equalization myself, I am completely satisfied with the sound. Personally, I have a bit of pressure on the head bridge and after a while I have to move it a bit. Overall the fit is very good, the ears are comfortable. The advanced features around the headphones are awesome, but I barely use half of them. I enjoy connecting two devices at the same time via BT. The microphone array around the shells ensures very good isolation during a phone call and the call is not disturbed by the surrounding debate. I have had them for two weeks and I am still thrilled with them, they are great. Sony is likely to release a new model in the summer of 2025, we can expect the price of the WH-1000XM5 to drop as early as spring 2025. TOP
