Surprisingly, the device can be paired with the lidl home app and its hub (normally it can be added via the "thermostatic head" entry), it has a custom design environment in it, but it doesn't quite work 100% - see above.

I have bought several types of Zigbee heads to try out, I have not returned this one but have not bought another. The head also works with Zigbee2MQTT, controlling with physical buttons is probably better than the rotary dial and virtual buttons on the front panel. I don't understand how someone could put a plus button to the left and a minus button to the right. If you're looking for the quietest motor possible, the Immax Neo is quieter (I ended up buying this one for the remaining radiators), although it has less intuitive controls.

Difficult to set thermal compensation in the app. Thanks to the sensor location in the head, the difference is very different when the heater is cold or boiling but that is probably a disadvantage of all heads.

I use the head with the Lídl ZigBee gateway and the SmartLife app, there is no need to use the original gateway or app. I have 3 different heads at home (Lídl, Woox and now this Tesla) and they all work with one gateway and one application, so I don't quite understand the complaints about inconsistency of application. What differs is the control environment of each head within the SmartLife app, as well as the features. For example, only Woox and Tesla can boost, only Tesla can also display a temperature graph. I really appreciate the backlighting of the display. I understand that this reduces battery life, but the backlighting significantly improves the readability of the diplay and it only lights up for a few seconds. From my experience with other heads, I have to say that sometimes it is really difficult to see anything on the display. I also like the orientation of the dipole, where the head is well usable for horizontal and vertical mounting. Again, this is a problem with other heads that have the display upside down or on the face and are then very difficult to use when mounted vertically.
