Overall satisfaction with the device. It is probably the quietest device on the market, but I couldn't sleep with it. I would liken the volume of the compressor to a refrigerator in operation with the compressor running. But if he shuts himself up in the next room in the evening, it's ok, and during the day with the normal daytime noise and traffic noise, it's perfectly fine for me. I just back the device with a thicker mirelon pad. It seemed to me that the vibrations were transmitted through the floor, both within the family home on the first floor and on the floor below (wooden ceilings). But this may be different for each property.
I find the upper temperature of the Defrost function stupid (the instructions say 5-18°C and in reality it is the same), where this many-minute defrosting process starts at +18°C. Yes, plus 18 degrees. I don't understand why it is not, for example, 5-10°C? Temperatures of 16-18°C are common in corridors and some people even have it in the bedroom when they want to sleep in an unheated room. But unfortunately the automatic defrost then comes on for many minutes, when only the fan goes on and the compressor turns off = no dehumidification. So when something manages to dehumidify, the humidity rises again a bit during this "defrost" process, and then rises again when the compressor is turned on at the end of the "defrost" at 17°C? manages to take some of the moisture off again and it goes round and round like that. The efficiency decreases and getting to 50% humidity from the initial 62% is an unnecessarily long process for many hours. And you need to use a dehumidifier especially in rooms where the temperature is lower, because then the humidity is higher.
So I really don't understand this. It's more for the manufacturer or retailer to think about. It's really not possible for something to freeze at 18°C even if it's a compressor. Despite this, to me, incomprehensible thing, it dehumidifies well and for the first few days the tank was soon full as there was probably moisture in the walls as well, but now it takes much less time to get to acceptable levels of around 52-55% and the tank is only less than half full.
Somehow I didn't even notice the ionizer. I don't know how you're supposed to tell with this device. At home, we have only an ionizer and when it is running, you can feel a gentle ionization right next to the device. Kind of like being outside just after a rain when the air clears. I don't feel anything here with this dehumidifier. In addition, according to the instructions, the ioniser automatically switches on every time the appliance is plugged into the socket, but the indicator light is off. This ticket-looking light (fifth from the left next to the lock) only lights up after pressing the ION/CHILD LOCK button, so I would say that pressing the ION button activates the ionizer, but I still don't feel any difference whether the icon is lit or not. But since we have a separate ionizer, I'm not worried about that. I bought it for the dehumidification and it performs. If someone is bothered by that uncomfortable "heavy" humidity in their apartment or house, when you can really feel it, I recommend buying a dehumidifier. Window dew has of course also been reduced. Just be careful not to lower your humidity too much, below a healthy level, because then you'll feel your nose and mouth getting more dry.
