I'll be comparing it to the samsung galaxy S8, from which I switched to the A55. Battery life! It really lasts two days on the A55. After reading the reviews I didn't believe it, but it really is. I had to recharge the S8 during the day, the battery percentage was really dropping even when it was new ( even after two years since I changed the battery for a new one - original samsung). The A55 just holds! I even have my max recharge set to 80% and start the day with that, ending the evening with 40%. It charges much faster than the S8. It's great to not worry about battery percentages during the day and sometimes not charge in the evening and leave it for the morning during breakfast. The A55's display is only 1080 compared to the S8's 1440, but you can't tell the difference. Only with VR. The display is ok. The A55 is a lot bigger in the hand and harder to get used to, but after half a year I got used to it. When falling asleep with my cell phone in my hand, I had to retrain myself to a different sense of touch. This is truly the greatest phone I've ever had - I don't even want a bigger one. It has stereo speakers, so watching movies is a better experience than the S8. I find the touch sensor a bit more reliable than the S8, but especially the sensor on the display is much more convenient than the sensor on the back of the S8. The camera doesn't look better to me, more like an average for today, normal. It will neither offend nor delight. But I don't use it much. The system is agile, it has never crashed yet. The proximity sensor is what drives me crazy. It's virtual, it almost always doesn't detect that the call has ended and the display doesn't light up again, you have to press the On Off button to make the display light up and respond to touches. I've always used this button to end calls. But you get used to it. I'm happy with the phone, especially with the battery life, where I don't have to worry about whether it lasts until the evening. Watching movies is better due to the stereo and large display.
