I solve NAS by myself, I just enjoy it, although nowadays there is probably no extra reason to do so. I was looking for something where I can have my disks stored safely. The box has a relatively reasonable power supply, works without failure and it is not necessary to use the internal hw RAID (which unfortunately cannot be changed later), it can be solved by a sw superstructure (Linux, where possible). Within the limits of what is available on the market.

High quality case for discs, with separate power supply and cooling.

The RAID type must be decided at the beginning, it cannot be changed afterwards (but it is not necessary to use RAID).
