I'm thrilled with the coffee maker. Makes excellent coffee, easy to use. Whether it is quieter I cannot judge, but it makes the same noise as the former Delonghi coffee machine. It can make just milk foam for my daughter's cocoa, and the iced drinks are a plus for me, which are delicious. It is my first coffee machine from Phillips and I am thrilled. Plus for the backlight. I was deciding between the 4400 and 5500 series. In the end, I went with this one, and I did the right thing. He can make a lot more drinks. I can only recommend it!
