Lately I have had good experiences with brands from the SEB consortium. Tefal Cook4Me and Optigrill are great helpers in cooking. This coffee machine surprised me with its compact design that simplifies operation and gives a premium impression. The attachment of some parts to magnets is great. Everything fits and blends nicely. Compared to other good coffee machines in this price range, the ergonomics of the whole machine is better thought out. For example, to dump the grounds, with the DeLonghi you have to slide the nozzles all the way up and put the cup away to slide out the grounds tray. Here, you just slide the hopper out and dump. Great. Milk frother, again great thought out, compact along with the coffee nozzles so you don't have to hunt for some friction next to it and adjust the cup so it doesn't leak out. Cleaning the frother is easy, you can actually completely disassemble the frother and clean it perfectly, which is definitely not the case with all coffee machines. Water reservoir - can be refilled without removing the reservoir from the machine. This compensates for the fact that the magazine is in the back of the machine and you need a lot of space above the machine when removing it, or you have to move it along the line. To be honest, the grinder has a problem with oily coffee, it doesn't go in easily and forms a pocket, which can cause the grinder to run almost empty. Krups should work on that. In fact, the manufacturer warns about this and does not recommend using oily coffee. In the settings there is an option to select oily coffee, which disables the machine's detection of the amount of coffee in the hopper to prevent false reports of coffee shortage. As far as recipes go, only ristretto, espresso and americano make sense. With the americano, I appreciate that the water refilling is done by the frother nozzles, so the water flows really clean. On the other hand, if you want to make coffee with milk with the americano, definitely make the americano first so you don't have to flush the milk circuit in the meantime. Only time will tell how it will last.

Indeed, the coffee machine is much quieter than my previous Krups Evidence EA890810. It also has a better thicker milk foam and more importantly a higher model and preparation of 21 recipes. Beware there are reviews common to the lower model and you may be confused but the lower model has fewer recipes thus no iced coffees. Everything is solid. Gutter pan with magnet and lots of other little things. We are a family of five so a large 3l water tank is ideal but if there are less people in the family it doesn't matter. It just takes less water to keep it fresh. I am very happy with the product and would buy it again.
