Unfortunately, I can't absolutely recommend it. The price would match if it was a quarter. It won't last half an hour without manual upgrades. I don't buy the argument that it's enough for testing. You can't even get to it because the show is about not bruising it or breaking your phone.

VR for a couple of bob. Andoid/iPhone VR apps are useless but streaming PC video (via trinus) to mobile is basically a cheap "oculus rift": ) There the experience is already decent.
After a few days, the velcro fasteners fall off.
For a VR experiment, a shoebox is ok, but for extended VR play, cardboard sucks. Get plastic instead.
