You can't use the camera without the app, which forces you to create an account. After blocking internet access via the router, the camera is not visible in the app, which means it needs a cloud connection to work. At the same time, without internet access, it resets the date every time you turn it on, so even if it sends the image over the local network, it has the wrong time stamp.
