It's important to say that the quality of your router also matters. If the router drops out, logically this adapter will drop out as well. I recommend quality routers from ubiquiti
A cable is better, of course, but if you don't want to drill and pull a cable through the whole house, this adapter is the solution.
will not extend 1Gbps to 5Ghz. But this is a feature of the product and not a negative. Only if you have e.g. from Vodafone 1Gb/s, so before 5Gz you make max 850 mbps approx.

Turning off LDPC did not help with stability
Controls are more to the detriment than to the benefit
On 5 GHz it barely gives 250 Mbit/s, while on the phone the same network has 600 Mbit/S

Big disappointment. Almost impossible to use. If it's a little further away from the router, or even upstairs, it basically doesn't work. The wifi speed is often not even 5% of what it should be, and the thing is horribly unstable. The signal drops out almost constantly, for downloading anything larger or even streaming videos it's completely unusable. If the thing is having a bad day, forget about watching any video on youtube without interruptions in better than 360p quality. I don't recommend it.
