the container has thick walls and does not sag when extracting air
the lid can be easily removed after evacuation

The pump has a bit of resistance, it's difficult to tell how much vacuum is in the container, probably lubrication (the instructions say edible oil) will help, but more likely silicone based oil. With another pump I used edible oil, which after a while turned rancid and the pump was completely unusable
