Along with this paper I tried printing on Ilford Galerie Prestige Smotth Gloss 310 and Fomei PRO Gloss 265. By far the ICC profile designed for Epson Premium Glossy Photo papers has worked best on all of them, and it is the Epson paper that really makes the photos look the best, at least to my taste. Not only do the colours look brighter and slightly warmer on it, which I like, but also the individual drops blend into each other better and you don't see streaks or dots in the slightest. I have noticed this problem mainly on Ilford paper and to a lesser extent on Fomei. However, I can recommend Fomei as a solid cheap replacement. But Epson's paper clearly leads the way.
I'm new to the home press, so it's hard to imagine anything better or worse. I haven't found any cons in fourteen days of frantic printing, but that doesn't mean I won't find them again. The clear disadvantage is the higher price per piece, but it seems to be quite adequate.
