Fan speed control and separate switching (I have the pad permanently plugged in, but I don't always want it to blow, so I appreciate this)
Quite solidly helped cooling (a lot does just the fact that there is a free space under the computer, the fan then also quite decently helps)
The metal grid is solid
Relatively wide range of pad tilt angles
Maybe cheap plastic for some, but everything is solid and the pad is virtually untouchable, so you only really mind it when you put it on the table
The pad doesn't remember the last setting when it is turned off from the USB port, it is always off when it is plugged back in and always turns on to level 3/6 when it is turned back on, it could remember at least the last level, ideally the on/off state (this way you have to turn it on and set the cooling level every time you plug it in
