Inside is an old Seagate platter drive from 2013 running at 5400 rpm. During the refurbishment, they reset the SMART history, so I can't see how many hours of operation it has, but the SMART is clean, and the extended self-test and badblocks scan of the entire drive passed without a single error. The temperature stays below 35C. As a backup data drive for that price, it's alright, just don't get your hopes up that it's a fast drive.

The drive is actually slow, I measured a read speed of 113MB/s on the outer edge and only 55MB/s on the inner tracks, which is about a quarter of what the description promises (4,800Mb/s is the speed of the USB port, not the drive).

It's a refurbished product. After loading 200GB, it failed. It has to be said that the Alza shop was very accommodating and returned the money to my account within 3 days.
