For many years I used the Apple ecosystem exclusively, but this year I switched to the Samsung Fold 7 and have now bought the Galaxy Watch Ultra2. Given that I wore the Apple Watch Ultra for several years, I have a pretty good basis for comparison (at least from the very beginning).
The watch feels more comfortable on the wrist, mainly thanks to the better strap (it's definitely softer and conforms better to the shape of the wrist). I see a significant step up in the health functions – they are more sophisticated and, most importantly, presented in an easy-to-understand way, so even an average user with no expert knowledge can make sense of the measured values (the graphics are so intuitive that you understand what you're actually looking at).
What surprised me most were the measurement sensors. I have a tattoo on my forearm, and the watch still measured my body functions without any problems. This didn't work with the Apple Watch Ultra, and I had to use a clear sticker placed over the sensor (from Shein) for measurements and sports.
I have yet to see how the watch will perform under prolonged athletic strain, but my first impressions are definitely positive (I was a bit hesitant about whether it was worth buying – but I have no regrets 😊).
Better ergonomics than the Apple Watch Ultra
A more comfortable strap
The health functions are clear and presented in an understandable way (I have a Fold7).
Measures bodily functions even with a tattoo on the forearm (at least it works for me)
I haven't tested it for longer periods during sports yet, so I still need to verify its battery life and accuracy during exercise.
Hello, I've only had the watch for a short time, so some aspects of its use will only become apparent with longer testing. But as for the material and how beautifully it fits my wrist (I have a larger wrist), it's definitely A*. And I personally like the overall design too (but that's a very personal matter). The battery looks like it will definitely last 2–3 days (so good job, in my opinion). And the display is a joy to look at even in bright light - it's truly gorgeous. For me, the main disadvantage of Samsung watches is that they still keep some health functions exclusive to Samsung phones (for that money, every user should get 100% of all functions). If it weren't for those limited health functions, I'd give it 5 stars, because otherwise, it's a really great product.

After a few days of use, I'm very satisfied with the Galaxy Watch Ultra2. The watch feels high-quality and premium, and despite its larger size, it fits surprisingly well on the wrist. What I appreciate most is the beautiful, bright display, which is easily readable even outdoors in the sun, and the fast, smooth controls. The wealth of sports and health functions, sleep tracking, and connectivity with my Samsung phone are also a big plus. I was also pleased with the battery life, which is very decent for such a feature-packed watch. I see the higher price as a minor drawback, and the charging could be faster. Overall, though, the watch met my expectations and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a durable and well-equipped smartwatch for everyday use and sport.
I owned a Watch 7 and I must say, this is a leap forward. I waited five days before writing this review so I could form at least some opinion on the battery life, which was probably what interested me the most, and I have to say, it's a decent improvement. I'm not saying it couldn't be even better, but for me (it will obviously vary individually depending on usage), 4 days plus a small reserve is a respectable amount of time. The max battery saving function is also good; when activated, the watch only charges to 90%. All this while maintaining sufficiently small dimensions, which is a definite plus. The display is, as expected, excellent. I didn't really expect anything else; Samsung is number one here. The readability in direct sunlight is simply brilliant, and I like that even when I set Always On, it can switch to a power-saving mode, which saves the battery. Regarding the body, I'm glad the strap is recessed into it, because with the Watch 7, I found that you'd knock the body and you'd immediately see scuffs. Here, the body is just nicely compact, with nothing extra sticking out. The much-discussed shape, a circle in a square with rounded corners – well, when I saw it in a picture, I also didn't know what to think, but you have to have it on your wrist to understand. It's simply a beautiful piece that stands out from the rest in terms of design. I personally welcome the absence of a mechanical bezel. Similarly, I like that the two speaker holes are in the middle of the body and not right at the edge near the wrist, where sweat would get in during exercise; this is definitely a better solution. Wireless charging is standard and, for me, certainly better than the contact charging on other brands. It's probably not even worth mentioning that the best connection for the watch is with a Samsung phone; everything works surprisingly well, even though I was expecting a few teething problems as with any new device. Yes, the price is high, but I dare say this watch is worth it.
It sits nicely on the hand
The silver finish looks luxurious
The most noticeable improvement is probably the battery.
I liked them as soon as I put them on, the size is just right for my hand, but it might be an issue for some. The display is beautifully clear, even in direct sunlight. With normal use, the battery lasts about 3 days (clock, alarm, sleep tracking), and with sports activity, about 2 days, but the charging is a bit of a letdown, taking about 2 hours to go from 10-80%. Sleep stats, step counter, heart rate, etc. seem accurate. Paired with a Samsung phone, they make a great duo, but unfortunately, if you don't buy a Samsung phone or don't have one, you'll miss out on a lot of the features the watch offers. The watch body and glass are very durable; even on a building site after a few knocks against tiles, a door frame, bricks, or even sparks from an angle grinder, there are no signs of damage.
display brightness
the battery size is quite satisfactory (still room for improvement)
build quality of the body and display
Relatively thin even though it has so many features.
protection against dust and water
The strap is very comfortable
The watch is smooth to operate
Lots of functions and information about sport, sleep, ECG.
charging speed
it's missing a rotating bezel, which would have also improved the design and usability (just a minor thing)
some advanced features only available with a membership
The Ultra 2 are without a doubt the best "Android" watch so far. Especially if you use them within the Samsung ecosystem (I use them with a Flip, for example). I highly rate the health and sports monitoring, as the watch produces a lot of outputs and recommendations that can then be clearly browsed on your mobile. It's a joy to use the watch, it has a brilliant display and fantastic responsiveness.
The included strap is fine, the watch fits well with it and it's suitable for sports and for use in water. For office wear, I bought a leather strap for the previous generation; the clips are compatible and the selection/availability is wide.
After the few days I've been using them, I can recommend them. The downside for me is the battery life, so far I'm charging it every day - and charging with the supplied charger isn't exactly the fastest (2+ hours from 5% to 100%) (to be fair, Apple is much worse when it comes to battery life, so I guess battery life is just the price you pay for performance and a quality display).
Display - fine resolution, legible in all conditions
Without a doubt, the best "Android" watch.
Lightweight
Fits perfectly on the hand
Speed and control response
Battery - it's bigger than the previous generation, but for me, it lasts 1.5 days at most.
Charging - fully charged in approx 2 hours and only with the provided charger.
The Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 is a really well-made smartwatch that caught my eye right from the start with its high-quality and premium finish. The display is beautifully bright and easy to read in all conditions, and the controls are fast and smooth. A big plus is the huge number of sports and health features, accurate activity tracking, and especially the very good battery life, which lasts about 3 days with normal use. The watch is comfortable to wear all day and works brilliantly with a Samsung phone. Overall, I am very satisfied and can definitely recommend the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 to anyone looking for a high-quality, durable, and modern smartwatch.
I'm really impressed with the Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra2. The display is absolutely fantastic – beautifully sharp, bright and perfectly readable even in direct sunlight. The battery life was also a very pleasant surprise, lasting several days without any issues. The only downside is the higher price, but you simply have to expect that with a watch this feature-packed. Overall, I'm very satisfied and would definitely recommend it.
Excellent sunlight readability
Compared to the first generation, the battery life is noticeably better.
Perhaps a little on the pricey side, but you have to expect that.
Upgrading from the Galaxy Watch 4 Classic to the Galaxy Watch 2 Ultra, so far I'm noticing the same battery life of two and a half days without tracking any activity, with GPS and WiFi turned off.
Restoring the watch from the previous backup went fine, everything installed automatically, although of course unsupported apps and watch faces don't work.
Nice design, comfortable strap, although my wrist sweats more under it. Faster response to any input.
So far, I'm completely satisfied, we'll see how it goes.
It doesn't have the rotating bezel I was used to, but it has a similar function when you run your finger around the frame.
Higher price, but it's up to everyone to decide whether they're willing to pay that much.
A bit of self-reflection: when you're wondering why none of your notifications or gestures are working, take a look at the underside of the watch and remove the sticker 😂😂😂 and hey presto, it's a miracle, everything is in perfect order 😄
Quality workmanship
Lots of features
