I plugged in a good old keyboard. and it works. I don' t have an old mouse, so I didn' t try the second outlet. although throwing away the old keyboard, which after cleaning looks like new and the keys tread like wine
The following worked for me to clean the keys - dismantling the cubes (take a picture of the folded condition, of course) and bathe it in a bath of warm water with baking soda. Unreal how baking soda dissolves all the crap that you don' t have to polish each key individually. I recommend assembling the keyboard instead of the puzzle.
